Mbale, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | John Wagabyalile Amurum, the new elected Masaba cultural leader has called for unity and reconciliation amongst the Bamasaba.

He made this call today during the cultural council meeting where elections of three executive members took place at Masaba cultural institution offices located at Malukhu, industrial city division in Mbale city.

The executive members who were elected are Rose Nelima, who was reinstated as speaker, Allan Muduku, deputy speaker, Omaru Njofu as chairman cultural council, and Alex Mwalya, deputy cultural council chairman.

According to Wagabyalile, the current fights between the factions of his rival Mike Mudoma against his will not yield good developments to the Bamasaba. He adds that Mudoma and his group, for the good of the Bumasaba, should leave their differences and come work together for the Bumasaba.

Wagabyalile also urged the elected members to have the heart of working for the Bamasaba on culture basis, since the institution has no money to pay them.

Allan Muduku who was appointed as deputy speaker expressed his happiness with the position saying that he is going to work hard and bring unity to all Bamasaba.
