Administrator in The Office Of Academic Registrar at The African Rural University

African Rural University, is looking for a reliable Office Administrator in the office of the academic registrar, who will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the office of AR has adequate support to work efficiently.

Reporting to; Academic registrar

Key results

• Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to ARU’s policies
• Manage agendas/travel arrangements/meetings in the office of the AR
• Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
• Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
• Create and update records of students and databases with personnel, financial and other data
• Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
• Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
• Assist colleagues whenever necessary

Requirements
• BSc/BA in office administration, BSc/Education planning and Management, social studies or relevant field is preferred
• Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role for at least 3 years
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (ERP etc.)
